How to Potty Train a really dumb puppy?
Posted by: | CommentsDon’t get me wrong, I LOVE my dog. But truly and honestly, she isn’t the smartest thing. I mean really, she’s realllllly stupid. Like tries to chew on walls stupid. I have to be REALLY clear when trying to train and teach her, and even then it seems to take twice as long even with something as simple as "Sit" (Which she just finally picked up).
She’s a Japanese Chin, almost 5 months old and not even a little bit potty trained. I was hoping to have been able to potty train her over the summer, but now I’m enrolled as a full time student taking 23 credits this semester.
I can’t seem to make a clear connection between bad potty and good potty. It’s like whenever I get mad at her for going in the wrong spot she’s confused as to why, even if I catch her in the act and rub her nose it in. That, and she NEVER goes potty in the right place, so I can’t reward her or praise her for doing it.

Puppy potty training question?
Posted by: | CommentsMy sister wants to get the spray where you spray it in a certain place and the smell attracts the puppy to go to the potty there and she wants to spray it in the corner of the puppy’s crate so that if it does have an accident it will be in the corner.. however I don’t want to get the spray because i feel that doing this will give the puppy the impression it’s alright to go to the toilet in the house and the crate… should I get the spray or not?

How do I train my puppy to pick up her toys and put them in her basket?
Posted by: | CommentsMy Papillon puppy is 10 mons. old and is a very intelligent little pup. She knows how to take her toys out of her ‘toy basket’ and bring them to us – but not how to put them back in! I’m sick of picking up after her; is there a way to train her to put the toys away herself?
