tips on potty training a puppy?

I have had my puppy for a little more than a month now. She is about 13 weeks old. I know it takes a lot of time for dogs to be potty trained, but I just want to know some better tips. And I am also thinking about signing her up for puppy preschool, I hear that the trainers can help with potty training.

So and tips or suggestions?

How do I teach my puppy to eat correctly?

My puppy will only eat his food if he is crated or else he would walk to the bowl and run away. When he is crated he eats his food fine. Sometimes, without the crate he would also eat one piece and run away to another room and eat it then come back for more. Or he would eat when hand fed but these ways are too inconvient for us. What do i do to teach him to eat correctly?

Ok heres the deal i have a puppy that if we leave her unattended for the slightest second she eats and chews on everything… How can i stop her from doing that we have spanked her, yelled at her told her no, nothing works… how can i stop my puppy from chewing on stuff?

How to train puppy recall *with distractions!?

I have a 16 week old puppy, she is pretty good off the lead when there are no distractions as she just follows my older obedient labrador around. However if there are other people especially kids, runners etc she will go up to them and want to play, also she goes up to other dogs in the park. When we call her back she just ignores us and carries on.

Obviously I don’t want her doing this as you don’t know whether other dogs are going to turn round and attack etc and a lot of people don’t like dogs especially excitable puppies.

How do I train her to not go up to others in the park etc? is it best to use a long line? or take treats/toys etc?

Right now we have a miniature shnauzer who is aobut 2 years old. She is very energetic and always wears out her doggy buddys who comes over to play (she loves her and hates to leave her)(so we also feel it would be nice if she had another dog to live with). So we thought a puppy would be perfect to so both dogs could be constant companions and keep each other entertained. We were also wondering since our dog is already potty trained will it be easier to teach the puppy potty training? Thanks
